We look forward to welcoming you to our horse stable!
We offer pony rides, group riding lessons in the indoor riding arena and many adventures for children around our ponies and (small) horses for our Südsee-Camp guests and riders from the surrounding area. Experienced riders can also take individual riding lessons.
Interested visitors are also welcome in our riding stable during opening hours, see tips & hints: behaviour at the horse stable.

Behavioural tips for everyone at the horse stable:
- Observe opening hours: Outside these times, access to the horse stable and stables is prohibited.
- Spectators are welcome in the riding hall, but must behave in an appropriately quiet manner.
Horses are flight animals and can be frightened! Out of consideration for the riding students, all visitors should therefore behave calmly and avoid hectic movements. Sitting on top of the riding arena railings is prohibited. - The duty of supervision for the children lies with the parents / an accompanying adult.
- Feeding the horses only in consultation with the horse stable team.

When visiting the horse stable you should always wear...
- sturdy and closed shoes &
- clothing that can get dirty.
For your appointment (whether pony leading or riding lesson) ...
- sturdy and closed footwear is mandatory for everyone - parents & children!
- The riders also need
long trousers, boots and helmet.
Boots and helmets can be provided free of charge for the respective lesson. If you have them, please bring your own.

for the little ones (up to 1.30 m)
Pony leading & pony time
Pony rides for the little ones (up to 1.30 m)
approx. 15 min. | pony leading | 8.00 / person
A great shared experience for your child and at least one parent! You lead the pony (groomed and saddled) prepared by the Südsee-Camp horse stable team in the riding arena, while your child gets their first experience on horseback.
The programme takes place in small groups. Sturdy shoes (child & adult) and the accompaniment of a parent or guardian are required!
Pony time for the little ones (up to 1.30 m)
approx. 40 min. | pony leading + preparing the pony yourself | 15.00 / person
The little riders and their accompanying person(s) prepare the ponies in the stable together with the team for the pony ride. This means that they will be groomed and saddled together! Afterwards, the pony leading takes place in the riding arena. A parent or guardian leads the pony at a walk while the little rider enjoys the experience on horseback.
The programme takes place in small groups. Sturdy shoes (child & adult) and the accompaniment of a parent or guardian are required!

Pony club for children (5 - 11 years)
approx. 2 hours | mix of theory & practice | 40.00 / person
A child-friendly introduction to the subject of ‘ponies + riding’ with a detailed combination of theory and practice. In the practical part, the children gain their first experience on horseback at a walk and trot. The programme takes place in small groups; minimum number of participants: 4 riders. Sturdy shoes and the accompaniment of a parent or guardian are required!

from 8 years
Riding lessons in a group
Riding lessons in a small group (4 - 6 people, in German)
approx. 1.5 hours | for beginners or advanced riders | 25.00 / person
• for beginners from 8 years
The riders have already gained experience in riding lessons at a walk and trot and have also mastered light trotting independently. They feel comfortable and confident on the horse so that they can follow the instructor's explanations - even on unfamiliar horses and in unfamiliar surroundings. When preparing the ponies for riding lessons, they receive the necessary assistance from the team.
Please note: Unfortunately, there are currently no large horses available for these riding lessons!
• for advanced riders aged 8 and over
Riders will have mastered the three basic gaits of walk, trot and canter and will be familiar with the necessary aids. We assume that you know how to prepare the horses. Of course, a contact person from the team will be at the stables to support the riders.
Please note: Only a limited number of large horses are currently available for these riding lessons!

Registrations for riding lessons
can only be accepted a maximum of one week in advance for organisational reasons! The riding student must come in person (for children: and accompanied by an adult) to register on site during opening hours. Südsee-Camp will organise the groups. The riding lessons are held exclusively in German.

The thematic content of the individual riding lesson can be discussed and determined individually. Individual lessons can take place on your own horse* or on a school horse from Südsee-Camp.
Please note: Due to the high demand, individual lessons cannot always be realised in the high season.

If you want to bring your own horse, we have guest boxes available.
Our horse stable team will take care of your horse. Meanwhile, on your Südsee-Camp holiday, you have the opportunity to enjoy only the pleasurable aspects of equestrian sports.
Prices - guest box incl. feed & straw bedding:

or: why should we as horse stable guests always plan a little in advance?
Our offer...
- ...is not only orientated towards the wishes and riding abilities of our guests,
- ...but also keeps the well-being of our four-legged employees in focus. This also means that we ensure that each of our ponies has sufficient rest periods - especially our senior horses in the stables deserve a few extra days off in between.
- ...is limited in this respect. Unfortunately, we are therefore not always able to fully meet the demand from our many horse-loving interested parties.
