After the autumn half-term until the Easter holidays, things tend to quieten down at Germany’s campsites – but not at Südsee-Camp.
We’re open all year round and are now kicking off our winter season.
Whether it’s late autumn, winter or early spring: at our campsite and in our cosy holiday homes and rental caravans, your own personal retreat awaits you all year round.

Pre-winter rest period
For us, November is all about peace and relaxation. As the tranquillity of autumn sets in, we’re also giving our entertainment team a well-deserved break – because even creative minds need time to gather new ideas and refresh the programme for the coming season.
What does this mean in practice?
Many of our activities, courses and facilities will remain closed until at least 03.12.2026. We’re using this time to prepare everything behind the scenes to ensure an even better start to the season from Easter 2027.

A treat for our furry friends
Dogs on the beach
The cold season brings some good news for all dog lovers: from November onwards, our four-legged friends are allowed back on and in our lake!
So, during the winter months, it’s time once again to enjoy the fresh air, the lakeside paths and the peaceful atmosphere by the lake together. Whether it’s a long walk along the water’s edge, a bit of a romp on the shore or simply a relaxed stroll hand-in-paw: the lake belongs to your beloved pets at this time of year too (until 19.03.2027).
We look forward to many shared moments and wish you a wonderful winter by the lake!

Christmas
The Christmas season is the perfect time to round off the year in a relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by your loved ones. That’s exactly what we’ve set aside these days for: time for cosiness, spending time together and the odd glass of children’s punch.
What to expect – and what not
To provide you and your families with a peaceful setting, our entertainment programme will be on hold during these days. Instead, we invite you to enjoy the tranquillity, go for long walks in the winter landscape, or simply put your feet up.
Important information about Christmas Eve and the Christmas holidays
On 24.12.2026, almost everything comes to a standstill here: leisure facilities such as the indoor playground and indoor swimming pool are closed. Most of the restaurants are closed.
Why not give Gao Gao Kitchen a try, though? They’ll be serving a festive menu there on Christmas Eve too.
From 25.12.2026 onwards, our dining and leisure facilities will be open for you again.

Before the grown-ups welcome in the New Year in the evening, our younger guests will celebrate their very own end-of-year party! With games, music, little surprises and, of course, plenty of confetti, we’ll kick off the final hours of the old year together.

Important information about fireworks
There is a strict ban on fireworks across our entire site. We have made this decision deliberately – for the safety and well-being of all guests, especially our youngest visitors and their four-legged friends.
A brief but honest word of advice: although it is quiet here, you may hear the sound of fireworks from the surrounding area. We ask for your understanding. If your child or pet is particularly sensitive to noise, we recommend that you take appropriate precautions.

Half-yearly report cards
Make the most of the long weekend from 29 January to 2 February 2027 to escape the daily grind for a few days. Our programme is designed to ensure there’s something for everyone – young and old alike.
Report Card Party – A reward for hard work!
The first half of the school year is over, and the report cards have been handed out. Whether you’re a star pupil or think ‘there’s still room for improvement’ – we’ll be celebrating to our hearts’ content!
For the kids:
- Mini disco – dancing, laughing and letting your hair down
- Games, crafts and fun activities – creativity, exercise and plenty of good cheer
There’s something for everyone here: from a quiet craft corner to a packed dance floor. No pressure, no marks, just fun!
Lantern walk – light in the darkness
In the evening, we’ll transform the grounds into a sea of sparkling eyes and colourful lanterns. Together, we’ll wander through the winter night in an atmospheric lantern walk – accompanied by warm drinks, singing and the special magic that only a moment like this can bring.

Start of the season with a campfire & bread on a stick
On Saturday 20 March 2027, we warmly invite you to kick off the new season with us. And what better way to start than with a classic that brings back childhood memories:
Our first bread-on-a-stick baking session
Just imagine: dusk is falling, the campfire crackles warmly and glows golden, the air smells of smoke and wood, and in your hands you hold a stick with a small ball of dough, which you hold over the fire slowly, patiently and with sparkling eyes. Until it’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
This isn’t just an event – it’s a moment. And it belongs to us all.
And afterwards? From now on: bread-on-a-stick baking every Friday!
Starting with our first campfire on 20.03.2027, we’ll be gathering around our fire every Friday evening until the end of the season. Whether you’re already a regular or joining us for the first time – you’re welcome.
